Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Risa Watanabe... Kyoko Saito... Yui Kobayashi....Nana Owada.... Nene Shida.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Mayu Matsuoka: First of many overdue posts....

Can't give a good reason for taking so long between Mayu posts, probably because there is no good reason for letting that happen. Most days I plan on posting something about her, 99.8% of those days some other post seems to have more importance. No more I say as to me Mayu may be the cutest actress around and perhaps the most talented one for her age too, she turned 21 last month.
Few months ago reviewed her 2015 drama "SHE" which she had the lead role in, short drama at five episodes but really worth a watch. Another 2015 drama she had the lead in was "Genkai Shuraku Kabushiki Kaisha", did watch it but never reviewed it. It was another series that was only five episodes but the shows were over an hour long and thought each recap would have been just way too long. Highly recommend the drama though as it was one of the best for last year.

Mayu is currently in another drama which started on February 27th titled "Koi no Sanriku Ressha Kon de Iko!", haven't checked that one out yet but will. She doesn't have the lead in that series but will in her next drama which will be called "Okodawari", title may be longer but that's the name at it's TV-Tokyo site. The show will be starting on April 8th, looks like an interesting series as it'll be a 'mock documentary' and think it was based on a manga. Have a promo pic here for it along with a screenshot from the show's site, here's their address which you need to copy into your browser:

On March 20th Mayu was at a promo event for the drama along with some members of Morning Musume, their tune "One Two Three" will be the theme song for the series. There's no good video of the event nor was there a trailer for the drama but will keep my eye open for one. Mentioned above that Mayu may be the cutest gal around, appears as though she's trying to prove me right with these pics from the event.... with pics like these will make sure her next post comes up real soon!
