Welcome to my humble site....

Hajimemashite minna san....welcome to my site on my fave Japanese Pop Culture likes such as dramas, movies, magazine scans, promo events etc. Mainly concentrate on my faves...Erika Toda!... Yuko Oshima... Nogizaka46!.... C-ute.... Masami Nagasawa!.... if you're a fan at all of any of them then you've come to the right place(!) but many others are featured here besides them. Do mainly quick reviews on things I've watched, try to make the reviews brief, quick to read through with not too many spoilers, just whether they're good or bad and why I thought so plus whether you may find them enjoyable. Many, many screenshots are included from everything I've watched plus any video trailers if they're available. Hope you find something that interests you, don't hesitate to comment, arigato gozaimasu!

Few tidbits.... have no idea why the background color constantly changes, think Blogger keeps doing it.
New item on the right is the 'Featured Post of the Day', will be putting some fabulous oldie posts which some of you may have missed the first time around, all will be at least one year old.

Nogizaka46: 2017 Magazine scans #37 and more....

Those above pics are from a new Mai interview that came out today for Oricon in celebration of selling over 200,000 copies of her "Passport" photobook. These last few days there's been a few other interviews too and will have those pics coming up soon. Mai did briefly mention Hinako's name in the interview so hopefully that means her first PB will still be released this month but no recent news about that has come out. She also mentioned that Sayuri deserves a PB too, she's one of the few first generation members who don't have one. More pics here from the Oricon interview.

Been keeping track of the member's photobook sales for this year and recently there's been a big slowdown. There had been four or more members who made the top ten for sales but this past week that number is down to two with Misa hitting the fourth spot while Mai was fifth though both sold less than 2,000 copies.

Mai 'Passport'- 202,410
Asuka 'Shiosai'- 112,040
Misa 'Hanashi wo Kikoka'- 67,836
Manatsu- 'Manatsu no Kiatsu Haichi- 50.050
Nanase 'Kaze wo Kigaete'- 128,000

Looks like the release of the third album didn't help book sales but most have been out for a while so perhaps there's no one left to buy a copy except for Misa's as her PB has been out for five weeks. To date this year Mai's PB has been the best selling book while Asuka's is in second place The third best selling photobook belongs to Nanami who fell out of the top ten a few weeks back but her second PB has sold a little over 83,000 copies.
On to the mag spreads and while there's only two mags in total there's quite a few spreads with about 35 pics. May have posted a few pics from this spread but if so it was much larger and missed too many of them but then again zero of them may have been posted. From the May 27th edition of TV Guide Weekly we have the fivesome of Manatsu, Nanase, Ranze, Sayuri and Yuuri.

Rest of the pics are from the July issue of Bubka which are broken down into many smaller spreads. First off is the duo of Nanase with the third generation member Yuuki and there's rarely been a mag spread post lately that hasn't featured her.

Here's a pair we see together often which is Asuka and Hinako who are fairly good friends. Missing though is Miona who also appears frequently with the pair in mag spreads, have always noticed the trio are quite close and they always sit together on their variety shows.

Last set of Bubka pics feature Ranze who is becoming so much more popular these days. She just got promoted to the ranks of Senbatsu for the group's last single but before that as an Undergirl she was still quite a popular Nogi member.
