Sung Hae-Sung is the only character where two different actors didn't need to be used, Yeo that plays him is 19 in real life. Hae-Sung is eighteen is this drama which takes place in 2005 and 2017, he was dead for those twelve years which is why only one actor was needed for the part.
If you're cold coming into this series might be a good idea to read the first post on it as I won't be talking too much about what's happened prior to these episodes. At the conclusion of the second show we learn how Hae-Sung has died, he had been hit by a car rushing for help. The help he was seeking was for Jang who was lying badly beaten in the art room at Chungho high school.
The pair weren't on good terms as Jang had beaten up Hae-Sung's brother, little bit more on that situation towards the end. Not as many flashbacks in these two shows as we've learned most of what the main characters backgrounds were. Hae-Sung's death occurred on June 14th, 2005 and when he next woke up it's June 14th, 2017 and we'll continue from there.

As high school seniors Jung-Won and Hae-Sung were very close though they weren't dating. Since his death Jung-Won's life has been in a downward spiral, she had such a promising future but she just couldn't cope over the loss of Hae-Sung. She's now thirty and works part time at an Italian restaurant called 'SNT'. Jung-Won has a loan shark after her as she owes quite a bit of money to them, she's also three months behind on her rent.
The events of both episodes are thrown together, think it may be easier to follow the story. We had learned in the fourth episode that the reason for getting a loan was for therapy to help her overcome the death of Hae-Sung and the therapy seemed to work. Her life isn't improving by leaps and bounds but least she's slowly moving forward, at the restaurant she's studying to be a chef.

Don't know if Jung-Won still has a drinking problem but we have seen her on a few occasions guzzle a few cans of lager. With her above is the chef where she works, his name is Cha and he was supposed to go Paris to further his skills. He decided not to go and the main reason is that he has a crush on Jung-Won. She confronted him about it but he denied that it's true but us viewers know that he certainly is in love with her.
Don't know why as it appears Cha could have his pick of many women as he's very successful. The loan sharks are putting the pressure on Jung-Won to pay up but there's no way she can as she's virtually broke. The main boss has given the assignment of collection money to Hae-Chul who is the brother of Hae-Sung.
Hae-Sung finds out where his brother worked but had no idea it was at a loan shark office. He went there to greet his brother and when he found out what his job was Hae-Sung was out of control. Hae-Chul was able to escape but Hae-Sung beat the daylights of the other two sharks, since he's come back to life his strength is unbelievable. Besides his strength Hae-Sung can also hear behind doors and can somehow even make lights go out among his other new and mysterious powers. So far none of them have been explained and he hasn't told anyone about them either.

Hae-Sung went to Jung-Won's apartment to prevent his brother from harassing her, Hae-Chul slunk away in fright. Hae-Sung hung around as he wanted to meet his childhood love so badly but before that could happen tragedy struck. The two men Hae-Sung beat up arrived at Jung-Won's place to find him waiting there, they also brought two other men with them.
The foursome ended up getting retribution as they pummeled Hae-Sung, they left but shortly after his beating Jung-Won arrived home which is the above two screenshots. She couldn't believe her eyes, how in the world is the eighteen year old Hae-Sung lying beaten up in front of her apartment?
Jung-Won brought him to her place where he remained sleeping all night. She treated his woulds but the whole time stared in amazement at him as she had no clue what was going on. It's not just her that's clueless, Hae-Sung has no idea how he's suddenly returned from the dead nor does his friend Bang who he met and is now a police officer.

The pair never did meet as Jung-Won needed to leave, when Hae-Sung woke up she was gone. What was also gone were his woulds, that's another mysterious power he's acquired since coming back from the dead. But the two hooking up again was going to happen and that took place just a few hours later at Jung-Won's apartment.
She was just sitting there when Hae-Sung entered, once again she stared at him in amazement. He assured her it was him and he has no explanation why he's come back to life after twelve years. As they were getting to know each other again Jung-Won's landlady barged in and demanded the rent as she's three months behind on it, pay up or move out by next week was the ultimatum.
Hae-Sung was a bit surprised that Jung-Won is doing so poorly, we know why but for the moment she can't tell him the reasons. Things weren't all rosy during their first encounter as Hae-Sung had made a joke about the night he died, it affected Jung-Won quite badly as she blames herself for his death.

On the night of Hae-Sung's death Jung-Won was planning a surprise birthday party with his family. She sent him to school to retrieve her wallet in the art room which was a ruse to buy more time to prepare his party At school Hae-Sung had found Jang beaten in the art room, Hae-Sung had died when he went to get help. What Hae-Sung didn't know was that Jang had also died and many people were blaming him for his death, everyone thought Hae-Sung was a murderer.
That's not true and don't know if Jang's real murderer will have anything to do with the plot. But what could happen is that Hae-Sung may be charged with murder as the case is still unsolved. That could be an interesting storyline and bet it will come about but how can you charge someone with murder who has been dead for twelve years?
Bang who was another high school friend of Hae-Sung, he had told him the story of Jang's murder and how the town had picked on his family after that. Bang is in a bit of a spot as he's a police officer, he's torn between his friend and the crime but he's another one who thinks how it would be possible to charge a dead man with murder. At the conclusion Hae-Sung and Jung-Won meet up again and it looks like she's starting to understand him better but then again he can't understand himself yet. That final meeting between the pair brings us to the end of these two episodes.

The episodes air back to back and have running times of 30-34 minutes. Have no clue why it's done that way and why the two shows aren't just an hour episode. In a way glad it's being done this way as it's much easier to watch shorter episodes like these ones, wonder if there are other Korean dramas with half hour lengths? If there are would really like to check them out as these days I'm a much bigger fan of their dramas compared to Japanese ones.
So far this has been one fine series, very little action but the story is so interesting and there are so many things that need to be answered. No idea how long these recaps will continue but for once would like to finish reviewing a drama from Korea, will make every effort to make this the first one. Don't know the exact day but will be back next week with the recap for episodes five and six, plenty more screenshots here to help you follow the story a bit better.
